Instructions / Notes:

• The tubing should already be connected into the gas on the lecture hall's table. Turn on the gas, then use the lighter to light the gas on fire. This will heat up the thin rod above the holes, causing the meter to increase, demonstrating the expansion of a heated metal rod.
• Turn off the gas to stop the demo.
