String wrapped around each circle, demonstrating different circumferences
Concepts Conveyed:
- One revolution of the circles makes them both travel the same distance even though they have different circumferences.
Instructions/Notes:
- Place the circles on the track with the marked radius pointing down.
- Roll the large circle along the track and the smaller circle along the string parallel to it.
- Unhook the string on one end of the track and wrap it around the large and small circles to show that they have different circumferences.
Demo Staff:
- Make sure the knots on both ends are secure.
